as my day off, i had many things planned for the day. things including cleaning and being physically active and laundrying and world peace.

none of these usually happen. but i usually plan for that too.

i did clean out my car. i even left the windows down to get rid of the smokey smell.

sometimes i take pictures of my reflection just to make sure that i still exist. i find that it is an accurate measurement of non-death.

i also drank in the daytime. always worth it.

the highlight of any day off is catching oprah and dr. phil. one of the first things i learned when i moved to texas is that dr. phil went to UNT and nobody in texas likes him. after today's episode, i really didn't either. whatever.

oprah, however, was quality as usual. her guest was this guy that writes for the new york times who had a drug addict son. he wrote an article for the new york times magazine ((apparently they also have a magazine)) about his experiences. he went on to say how many people wrote to him thanking him for giving them ((the families of drug addicts)) a voice. he then went on to write the book, "beautiful boy". after his son's recovery, the son went on to write the book "tweak."

i want both books. i have a birthday coming up. you should look into that.

also, i cried about eight times while watching oprah. i miss kyle and jon and michael and gavin. also, good luck to my homies cx and rx in rehab.

after being overly bored, i came up to jupiter house to get more progress done on the books i'm reading and writing. i got a pleasant interruption to grab some beers at the abbey. oh yeah, and food. sundog es muy bueno. longboard is okay. also, sundog is the joe cool of beer.

smartass, i am currently listening to the new meshuggah. i second your thoughts. however, i found some of the tracks overly percussively redundant. but it's whatever.

before my final of three-ish trips to jupiter house today ((one of which, i danced with the barista that is also jxlx's girlfriend... love that guy)) i saw this couple fighting. i'm overly entertained by the awkwardness of lovers' spats. i stuck around to watch and photograph the event. in the pictures, it doesn't look like they're fighting, but i assure you, he wants his keys back and she keeps putting his hands on her tits. entertaining5000.

also, pretentiouscentral5000.

i wore what has been deemed my aquarium outfit ((half replacing my poetry slam outfit on the hipster/pretentious level)) out since the last time i showed you pictures. homeboy has some better at-venue shots that he still refuses to share. but until then, entertain yourself with this wonderfulness...

also, one of these salads is probably better than the other one... whatever.

and this old man was videotaping his walk around the square. i looked up from my vonnegut just in time to catch a tourist. how wonderful.

also, the reason i don't go up to maplewood to see between the buried and me for free is because i hate smartass. that is all.

there is a cricket with an uneven number of legs running in circles outside jupiter house. i'm pretty sure that's all he can do.

when i worked at the black-eyed pea, we had to sell dollar shamrocks for the muscular dystophy association. however, i get very discouraged after being turned down by the... first and only table i offered a shamrock to... so i didn't. sorry, jerry!
