in my afternoon jupiter house study-break cigarette, i met an elderly talkative gentleman with quite the story to tell.

barrett baxter.

he caught my attention singing some jimmy dean "smoke, smoke smokin' my cigarette..." and continued about how dean would come visit uncle's farm to eat his sausages ((jimmy dean sausages)). a beef-pork blend seasoned with mostly sage. "so simple, but delicious."

he continued into an inescapable story ((in a good way)) of how he was one of the original hippies. He lived in a mansion with two dozen other students in Hollywood while in the school that birthed the CIA. As broke college students, they made three cartoons to make some extra cash. Hippedy Frog was born and presented to the street kids, who dubbed the creaters as "hippies".

however, his cartoons never made it to the mainstream because of "oppression of the government and broadcast corporations by the mafia".

how cute.
