If you keep driving around in the car, when they look over damages, will they write off a certain amount less because of the wear and tear driving it around in this condition is causing? Will they say that you actually caused more damage to the car than the robbers did? It is an insurance company. They tend to weasel out of situations like this.
Maybe you should rely on people giving you rides until Thursday.
